Greengage Plots

Emma Sterner-Radley

An insular chronicle

Where to begins? I still feel lukewarm about this book, even after the second read. It's definitely a good story, most of all a story that needed to be told. It just did not spark my personal fire.

As most of Emma's books, it's a romance. A cute one at that. If you are looking for a late blooming type of plot you'll be over the moon. The flow of the story is natural and enjoyable. There is some drama, but it's minimal. Like, the drama is there, but not in an unrealistic proportions and characters actually talk to each other ... most of the time. One of the things I'd love the most about this book is it's setting. The Island and its people are so inviting and lively! I could picture the life of the village. A real postcard.

For a little 7.66$ USD (Kindle Ebook) Greengage Plots is an overall good investment.

Is it one of my all-time favorites? No. Can it be yours? Heck yes!

Give it a try, if you dare.
